Tollner Law Offices (TLO) is a special education firm with a wide range of experiences that include: all special education issues; transition issues; homeschooling; suspension and expulsion; student safety and personal injury; bullying; harassment; discrimination; charter schools; and evaluations. We serve all of California with regional offices in San Jose, Los Angeles and Irvine.

TLO aspires for a world where the educational environment provides individualized and appropriate education for every child, and unfortunately, this is not always true. We believe that a "one size fits all" format is often not conducive for the learning process of every child, and as such we practice to assist children that are underserved by this notion.

As a law firm, we handle cases that span the educational experience, from cases involving educational disabilities to instances that ensure your child's rights are protected and enforced. Our services provide assistance in due process, manifestation determination appeals, and appellate advocacy. Additionally, we offer services outside the courtroom and advocate on your behalf in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and designing your child's 504 plan.

If your child has been overlooked by their school system, we wish to offer our services. TLO desires to guide you through the process whether it is inside or outside the courtroom, we have your back. Just as our children are taught to adapt to changing circumstance, educators must adapt to the needs of every child, and these needs can be different for children with emotional or behavioral disabilities, physical disabilities, or developmental disabilities. We serve on your behalf, to make the necessary changes for your child's educational needs. If your child requires different or sometimes additional educational services, TLO will fight for what your child deserves.

Fees: We have a flexible fee structure at Tollner Law Offices for those who need it. For those who can afford it, we provide services on an hourly basis. For those who cannot afford to pay the full cost of legal services, we negotiate a reasonable retainer and hourly fee and may cap the fees at an amount that is fair, reasonable and affordable.
