Wye River Upper School is independent upper school for students grades 9-12. Our mission is to support the strengths and needs of bright students with learning differences, including ADHD, dyslexia and Asperger's. Our small class size is complimented by faculty who are trained to identify and use each student's individual strengths and interests. WRUS provides annual achievement testing which is the basis for our unique Student Development Plans, used to monitor every student's individual academic and emotional growth.

We serve bright students, bound for college and post secondary education, with ADHD, dyslexia and other unique learning styles and students who may benefit from:

  • structure
  • low student/teacher ratios
  • frequent parent-school communication
  • rigorous core academics
  • hands-on learning experiences
  • college advising program
  • morning athletics
  • state-of-the-art technology

WRUS understands the challenges that students with learning disabilities face and we strive to implement educational strategies that will work for the individual. We offer tours and shadow days for prospective students throughout the year and we are currently offering ongoing enrollment.
