THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE... Gersh Academy, with over 10 years of experience operating schools for children with special needs, and West Hills Day Camp with over 50 years of camping experience. Your child will have fun in a safe nurturing environment that facilitates social skills and promotes personal growth.

Our unique program is designed for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related neurobiological disorders such as Anxiety Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Disability and Tourette Syndrome.

Special Children Deserve A Special Staff In order to ensure a successful summer for your child every member of our staff completes an extensive training program specifically geared toward working with special need children. Their background and commitment, together with a 1:3 staff to child ratio, ensures a rich, rewarding summer camp experience for your child.

Program Components:
Our professional counselors help campers ages 5 through13 build self-confidence and make new friends by providing them the support that they need.
  • Small Groups (1:3 staff to Child ratio)
  • Group leaders are certified special education teachers
  • Placement based on social, emotional and intellectual capabilities
  • Weekly Progress Reports
  • Full-day program: 9:00am-4:00pm
  • Four and eight-week sessions available
  • Full time nurse
