As an Special education advocate/liaison Joni Anderson will provide parents, students, educators, other professionals with:

  • Highly Qualified Professional Representation at meetings
  • Review of records to provide recommendations
  • Phone calls, emails, and/or letters on your behalf to the school, doctors, agencies, etc. (This will involve a signed release of information from you)
  • Exploration of options for educational success as needed.
  • IEP and 504 Plan development for services or accommodations: Assist in writing/attending IEP/504 meetings in the school
  • Advocacy coaching for parents entering IEP/504 eligibility, progress or annual meetings at school
  • Referrals to professional trainers, tutors and licensed therapists specializing in reading, speech pathology and occupational therapist
  • Advocacy skills training
  • Confidentiality
