Advocacy and Training for Parents, Children, and Schools
One on One Advocacy:
We work with parents and children on a one-to-one basis, communicate directly with school districts, attend hearings, write IEP's, and develop effective strategies for CSE meetings.
Training:
We can design training programs to meet a special need, assist in the development of effective advocacy strategies, work in classrooms to design individualized programs for hard to serve students or help improve communication between school and home. All of our training programs are designed to enhance the quality of educational programming for students with disabilities. Detailed agendas, sample flyers and curriculum outlines are available on request.
Topics include:
Understanding Special Education Regulations; Writing Effective IEP's; Conducting Educational Evaluations; Developing Student/Teacher Awareness of Disabilities in General Education Classrooms; and How to Prepare for CSE Meetings.
