PAVE, a non-profit, parent-directed organization, exists to increase
independence, empowerment, and future opportunities for consumers with
special needs, their families and communities, through training,
information referral & support.
PAVE can help you:
- Understand the educational system for pre-schoolers & school age
children
- Access early intervention services for very young children from birth
to three
- Comprehend the adult service systems as your child transitions to
adult life
- Provide support when you learn that your child has a disability or
chronic health need
- Workshops on subjects such as special education information,
transition, cultural diversity, Medicaid, SSI, family centered care, Birth
to Three, military issues, communication skills, and many others
- Lending library- books, video and audio tapes
- Info about starting a parent support group
