Description of
Organization
The AVKO Educational Research Foundation
is a non-profit tax-exempt 501(C)3 organization founded in
1974, open to all who wish to join, and is staffed entirely by volunteers
trained to work with people with learning disabilities, especially
dyslexics.
Description of Services
 Free daily
tutoring and/or training of family members to be tutors at the AVKO
Reading Clinic.
Inservices and workshops for
classroom teachers,
parents, community adult literacy volunteers, and educational consultants.
Publish economical and effective
materials for parents as well as for teachers for the
teaching of spelling, handwriting, keyboarding, and reading.
Will answer questions related to
dyslexia and/or
learning disabilities via telephone, fax, or e-mail.
